Description of the event: David will walk you to the nearby Roche Point Forest following a green strip which is a wildlife corridor, paralleling Mt. Seymour Rd. & Roche Point Drive connecting Seymour Provincial Park with Roche Point Forest, an area of old-growth forest which is partly forested parkland & partly forest, zoned for residential development. He will point out the old-growth Douglas-firs one of which held a Bald Eagles nest, the characteristics of an old-growth forest & describe the plant species we will see.
