Founded in 1918, as Vancouver Natural History Society, Nature Vancouver offers a variety of activities with a focus on nature education, and enjoyment and conservation of natural environment. We organize  EVENING PROGRAMS (from September to April), FIELD TRIPS (throughout the year),  an annual SUMMER CAMP and occasional  workshops, and more.

The BIRDINGBOTANY, CONSERVATION, GEOLOGY,  MARINE BIOLOGYand PHOTOGRAPHY Sections provide a greater focus in specific areas of nature.

Nature Vancouver has been a strong supporter of Young Naturalists’ Club of BC now known as NatureKIDS BC.

Whether you are just discovering the natural beauty of Vancouver and BC or are an experienced naturalist, we know you will enjoy the atmosphere and camaraderie of Nature Vancouver.

In March 2020, due to COVID-19 pandemic, our outdoor activities and in-person Evening Programs were put on hold.

Since then we have conducted our weekly EVENING PROGRAMS via ZOOM Video Conferencing.

In November 2020, the Board of Directors approved new guidelines and  protocols for field trip leaders and participants. More information on FIELD TRIPS page.

July 12, 2021 UpdateNature Vancouver Board of Directors has approved limited restarting of field trips. We encourage all previous, current and potential field trips to consider leading some trips, subject to the November 2020 guidelines.
