2024 Summer Camp – Manning Park

2024 Summer Camp – Manning Park

Next year’s Summer Camp will be a drive-in camp to Manning Park. Two one-week-long camps will be held from July 28 to Aug 4, and Aug 4 to Aug 11, 2024.

Location: Lone Duck 1 Group Camp Ground, E.C. Manning Park

Overlooking Lightning Lake’s Lone Duck Bay about 4km off Highway 3 on Gibson Pass Road, this lovely treed campground has been developed over the last few years. It now boasts flush toilets, and a rebuilt shelter.  E.C. Manning Provincial Park is east of Hope along Highway 3. It is an approximate three hour drive (depending on traffic) from Vancouver.

Manning Park offers easy to difficult trails of varying distances within a short distance from camp. Many of these trails start at the camp site. The lovely Lightening Lake provides a swimming opportunity and showers are available free within a short walk or at the pool (located at the Manning Park Resort) for a nominal cost.

Those wishing to stay at Manning Park Resort at their own expense must make their own arrangements. The Resort is an approximate eight minute drive to camp. Phone: 1-604-668-5922; Email: info@manningpark.com; Location: 7500 HWY #3, Manning Park, BC.

After registration, watch for an email from the camp registrar, Elena.K.NVcamp@outlook.com with your registration form and waiver.  Please check your spam folder if you do not receive the email.  It will arrive 2 to 4 days after you have reserved a spot. Complete the registration form online, sign and return the waiver. Final payment is due by May 15, 2024 and you will be provided with instructions on how to do this.

Families with Children (8 to 18 years old)

Following on the success of 2023 Camp, Week 2 will include a limited number of families with children between the ages of 8 and 18. Families may not use the online reservation system.  Please email the registrar directly to apply to week 2 of camp.  Sorry, children under the age of 8 will not be able to attend the camp this year.

Waitlist and Switching Weeks

Members who have not reserved a place in the camp, can be placed on a waitlist. Please email the registrar if you would like to be on the waitlist. Priority will be to match couples where one has reserved and the other was unable. You must be a member of Nature Vancouver to be on the waitlist but you will not be asked to pay a deposit until you have a confirmed place in camp.

For campers who wish to switch weeks, the registration form that you receive after reserving a spot in camp will ask which week you prefer.  The camp registrar will contact you if/when a spot opens up in that week.
