Spring hike to look for early flowers and birds in Derby Reach Regional Park in Fort Langley. This is a mostly easy but fairly long walk (11-12 km) along the bank of the Fraser River and through the woods with some short uphill sections. Trilliums and fawn lilies will be our target flower species. Dress for the weather including good boots or hiking shoes, and pack lunch and fluids. Carpool at Franklin and Penticton at 0800, or meet at the Edgewater Bar park entrance (off Allard Crescent east of 208 Street) at 0900. Difficulty rating B6. Contact Bill Kinkaid.
